During the specified period, the majority of visitors came for “tourism, entertainment, sports, and cultural activities,” representing 63.6% of the total. The second most common reason was “visiting relatives and friends” at 22.4%, with “shopping” being the third-largest reason at 6%. Turkish citizens living abroad primarily traveled back for “family and friend visits” at a rate of 70.4%.
